The Mitrovica Rock School is a joint initiative of Musicians without Borders (MwB), Community Building Mitrovica (CBM), the Fontys Rock Academy and IKV Pax Christi.

The project is planned and implemented by MwB and CBM. The Fontys Rock Academy and IKV Pax Christi provide project-specific expertise and training.

Musicians without Borders (MwB) is an international network organization that uses music to contribute to reconciliation and peace-building in conflict and post-conflict regions. Most of MwB’s projects have taken place in the Balkans: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia and Kosovo. Since 2002, MwB has cooperated with CBM and IKV Pax Christi in various music project with the objective of promoting peace and reconciliation.

Community Building Mitrovica (CBM) is a local NGO active in the wider region of Mitrovica, Kosovo. CBM organises activities to bring the inhabitants of Mitrovica and its region – Albanians, Serbs, Roma, Ashkali, Bosniaks and other minorities – together, to live in peace and prosperity.

IKV Pax Christi is the largest peace and conflict resolution organization in the Netherlands and has over 20,000 donors and members. IKV Pax Christi has worked with and supported local civil society partners in the Western Balkans for over twenty years.

ESRA
