Music, dance and drama

Forty children from Srebrenica will prepare a performance including music, dance and drama for an audience consisting of all 169 children currently being reached by the Music Bus workshop program. These children will come to Srebrenica to enjoy the performance of their peers.

Children's play
The creative team has chosen the children's play Captain John Peoplefox, written in 1953 by Duško Radović. The play's message is that intelligence is superior to violence, and that thinking is a better way to approach problems than fighting.

To prepare for this performance, workshop leaders and volunteers will have delivered a total of 60 workshops in music, dance and theatre. Children will have composed their own music, which they will perform, supported by professional volunteer musicians.

Children's Music Theatre Srebrenica is part of the Music Bus project of the Musicians without Borders Bosnia and Herzegovina that collaborates with Opera Circus UK within British Council's Creative Collaboration programme.
